Yay, it's Six Sentence Sunday! This is my last six from my recent Halloween release, Bad Kitty. Next Wednesday 11/2, Hot Text will release from Ellora's Cave so next week my six will be from that story. Until then, six sentences about one use for caramel... ;) Happy Halloween!



“I’d put this away,” Nikki said, bringing Patrick’s gaze to where she sprawled on her enormous bed, her fingers stuck in a jar of something. “But then I was hungry and bored and needed something to do other than touching myself all night. Because, really, that can get old.”

While he watched, his heart drumming in his chest, she licked what looked like thick brown cream off her thumb. “Caramel,” she explained. “I bought it for apples but then I started thinking of all its other uses…”

Six Sentence Sunday...Bad Kitty part deux

It's Six Sentence Sunday! This is my second six from my recent Halloween release, Bad Kitty. In this scene, Patrick is being conned...erm, convinced...to supervise his twin brother's Halloween party. Which turns out to be a pretty good thing, all in all. ;)


Patrick glanced down at the length of rope he held and wished it was his brother’s throat instead. Warm sun beat down on the back of his neck, dampening his skin with a fine mist of perspiration. It was the end of October, and fall weather in New England was far from predictable. How many more clear, sunny days like this would he get?

He took a deep breath, inhaling the familiar smell of tar overlaid with his brother’s eau de richy-rich cologne. “Why, exactly, is it you can’t handle your own damn party—again—and leave me to my damn roof?”

Julie patted the kitty costume and arched a brow. “Now that I’ve come through so spectacularly, are you going to tell your best friend who exactly you’re intending to whip into submission?”

Nikki did her best not to fidget. “No one in particular.”

“Well, whoever it is, I hope you go gentle on him.”

“He better not count on it,” Nikki said with a snort as she yanked on the costume's tail.

Bad Kitty...new contract! And cover!

I'm thrilled to say that I recently sold my Halloween erotic contemporary short story to The Wild Rose Press. Bad Kitty will release this fall and the cover is below. Isn't it gorgeous? I'm completely in love. Super huge thanks to my amazing editor and cover designer, Diana Carlisle.

As for the story itself, the hero, Patrick, is a twin. Nope, no twin action of THAT sort, but if anyone wants me to write about his brother Easton after they've read Bad Kitty, I'll be happy to. Just let me know!
