The Happy Birthday Bloghop GIVEAWAY!

It's Carrie Ann Ryan's birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARRIE - and we're celebrating with her!

Around 60 of her author and blogger friends are hosting a hop for two days!! Woot! Each author is going to talk about their favorite birthdays or why they love (or hate) them.

What does that mean for you as a reader?

Well, each author is giving away a prize at their blog. AND we're giving away TWO grand prizes.

1) A Kindle Touch

2) A $60 Amazon or Barnes & Noble Gift Card

Yep. You can comment on each blog and enter to win! How great is that? So on April 5th the hop begins and you have until 11:59PM on the 6th to participate!

But first, let's talk birthdays!

Personally I love birthdays. I'm lucky enough to have a holiday birthday in the month of December, though many people have expressed sympathy for that fact since you often get fewer presents. Since I'm not a huge present person anyway, it doesn't bother me! I'm just happy going out to dinner a few times and getting some new books. Because books=happiness to me. Probably why I became a writer, huh?

This past year, I turned thirty-six. Granted, birthdays aren't quite as much fun as when I was younger. I remember one year waking up on my sixth birthday to the house being all decorated for Christmas - my favorite birthday memory ever - but I still make sure to do something special every year. Even if it's only going to Chili's or Outback, my favorite restaurants!

Now it's your turn!

Along with the GRAND PRIZES that will be given out to the overall Bloghop winners, I'm giving away THREE prizes! A $5.00 Amazon/B&N gift card (winner's choice) to one winner, and two other winners will win a backlist ebook of mine of their choice.

What do you have to do to be entered to win?

It's EASY!

1) Just become a follower of the blog
2) Leave a comment telling me about your naughtiest or nicest birthday (your choice!)

Have fun and happy hopping, and a HUGE thank you to Carrie for putting on the hop! Check out the links below to continue on to the next stop!

The toughest one so far was the big 4-0. The big 5-0 is coming in less than 3 years, and that one's going to hurt! Funny, I still feel about 20, lol.

My nicest birthday was my 13th. We had a blast, playing basketball in the rain and dancing.

Happy Birthday Carrie Ann!

It sounds so boring, but we don't do much for birthdays so I don't have a particularly great (or naughty) memory of one.

I past the big 4-0 with no issues, hopefully the big 5-0 next year will be the same.

You know, I really don't have many birthdays that stick out, other holidays though. I can remember some of my hubby's birthdays being pretty naughty though. LOL

I got married the day before my birthday and at the time I never thought about the fact that it was the week before mothers day. My hubby says he is screwed over. We usually don't do anything because I am home for mothers day and birthday with my girls but last year we actually got away for our 14th anniversary. It was the 1st time in as many years! It was so nice to just get out of town for a couple days! Know the kids were getting to school and relax among other things...

Thank you so much for participating in this blog hop - so happy to have found another new to me author - and for the awesome giveaway op!

Happy Birthday to Carrie and to everyone celebrating an April birthday!

I wish I had a naughty birthday to tell about, darn it - would love one, lol. My best birthday was my 19th. Back then, in Iowa, 19 was the legal drinking age, so my mom and I went out and she bought me my first drink. The rest of the night became a blur as everyone else in the bar supplied my drinks, lol. She'd left at some point and my best friend poured me into her car and took me home. 'Twas a fun night from what I can remember though! :D

Think 5 year old tomboy eating a cake with Charlie Brown on it catching a frog with a net, a 10 year old getting a tye dyed stuffed frog. A 42 yr old giving birth to her #9, the baby of the family. Yeah those were the best ones. Oh and a 25 year old going to see The Bellemy Brothers.

One of my nicest birthdays recently was a couple of years ago. I was staying with my sister for a couple of reasons, but my brother, his two little boys, my sister, her 3 kids, and I ate pizza & cupcakes, watched videos, brother and my sister's son played video games, and we basically just hung out. It was a fun time with lots of laughs.

My best birthday memory was my 40th. Spending the day with my mom shopping and going to lunch. I also got my tattoo, a garter with a Derringer around my thigh. It was the best.

My birthday is near Mother's day and 3 days from my wedding anniversary so my husband tends to get me something big (like my nook color last year!!) for all three. All I ever really want is maybe dinner and some new reads ;)

I love Carrie Ann and I'm glad to wish her a HAPPY, HAPPY Birthday. And how sweet that she and her friends are giving away things on her special day.

I haven't had any exceptionally memorable birthdays. My hubby takes me out on my birthday, to a favorite restaurant of choice. More special is my hubby's b'day, which is also our anniversary. I give him a birthday gift and he gives me any anniversary present. It's a Win-Win day!

Happy Birthday Carrie Ann and to everyone having a birthday this month. My grandkids make my birthday special every year by making me cards, they are very special to me. Also one year for my birthday my best friend, who knows I'm not a big regular cake fan, made a big cherry cobbler for me for my birthday, it was delicious.

I think my nicest birthday was my 40th last year. My DH threw a surprise party for me. He arranged for my oldest to babysit my youngest overnight and we went out after the party with friends and then to a hotel. It was a great night!

The naughtiest birthday that I was involved in was actually my husband's. The first year we were dating, I decided to do something special for him. I rented a nice hotel room in our city. We had a romantic dinner, went dancing downtown, and ended it with a Jacuzzi bath. ;)

My best birthday was when I turned 30. I was pregnant with my 4th baby and depressed. My mom invited us to dinner at her house. As I walk in the door, about 50 people yelled SURPRISE!! Even my dad came from out of state to be there. I walked back out the door and cried. lol
