Welcome to the Hoppy Easter blog hop! GIVEAWAY!

Looking for Carrie Ann's Birthday blog hop? Check the post beneath this one!

Happy Easter everyone! I'm so thrilled to be part of the Hoppy Easter blog hop (thanks, Drea, for putting it together!)

I love Easter. Springtime, easter candy, the pretty pastel colors...and of course, the religious reasons, as well, if you celebrate. I went to Catholic school as a child so there will always be some religious significance to me. This time of year I like to have my fish dinners and maybe see a local production of Jesus Christ Superstar, though I haven't done that in a few years.

What about you? What do you like most about Easter? Leave me a comment telling me what it is you enjoy most about the holiday AND become a follower of the blog (I hold lots of contests and author interviews, so it's never boring around here!) and you'll be entered to win my prizes as part of the hop.

What can you win from me? There will be THREE winners. One will win a $5.00 gift certificate to either Amazon or Barnes & Noble, winner's choice! Two other winners will win one of my backlist ebooks (winner's choice!) So follow and comment away! And happy Easter!

Ready to rejoin the hop? Click on the graphic above to go back to main blog hop site!

Being Jewish, Easter does not have a religious significance to me personally. For me, it's a reminder of spring. Hubby is Catholic, so I enjoy his celebrating of Easter.

I love Easter time!! Yes it does hold religious significance for me as I am Christian. But my favorite part is the Friday Fish Frys!!! I love them!! Every Friday we have fresh Fried Fish with spaghetti, onion rings, fries, and beer! I love it.

I love little girls in white, patent-leather mary janes, spring dresses, and bonnets. I also love spiral-sliced hams, scalloped potatoes, asparagus, & robin's eggs. Throw in my area's lovely Azalea Festival and it's all good.

I've been a GFC follower for a while.

The traditional Polish meal my mother always makes us eat. My kids won't touch a thing! Neither will my husband. Ah come on, what's wrong with a little egg, Kelbasi, Liver, ham, and horseradish on some homemade bread?

Easter was always as far back as I can remember the quiet family holiday. We never had a huge family dinner with my Aunts, Uncles or Cousins. It was usually just my parents, my brother, me and maybe a family friend or two.

My favorite thing about Easter is the flowers. I love spring flowers and there are so many flowers for this holiday: tulips, lilies, daisies, etc. Of course the Easter candy isn't bad either ;-)

Easter is the celebration of the core of what we believe--we have life and freedom and blessings because Christ paid the price for our sins AND rose again, conquering death. And I love the signs of spring that add to the sense of renewal!

I think it's the overall leisure aspect of the day. There's not as much going on say with Thanksgiving or Christmas. But there's still some extra specialness to the day.

Also chocolate doesn't hurt either!
